Hey,
Welcome to Green Jobs Rising!
Before we get started, a quick update: I’m taking a short break. I need some time to rest and recharge, but we’ll be back soon with more Green Jobs Rising conversations.
Thank you for being part of this community. I truly appreciate you being here, and I’ll see you again soon!
Now, let’s talk about interviews.

Confidence and communication.
You may not speak perfect English, and that's okay. What matters most is your ability to communicate the important things clearly and confidently.
If you get nervous during an interview, take a deep breath.
Practical tip: (breathe in through your nose and exhale through your mouth) twice. It can help calm your nerves and make you feel more comfortable before answering questions.
Another important tip? Be truthful.
You may not know who is sitting on the interview panel or what connections they may have. While being honest, you also need to know how to communicate information appropriately.
Avoid directly sharing everything about your former employer. Your experiences may be valid and truthful, but some information is not yours to disclose.
There are professional ways to communicate challenges or difficult experiences while still getting your message across.
Remember, recruiters are not only listening to what you say.
They are also paying attention to how you say it. When you overshare confidential or unnecessary information, it can make recruiters rethink hiring you because it raises concerns about whether you would do the same with their organisation.
Sometimes, what stands out in an interview isn't what is on your CV.
It's your confidence, professionalism, and ability to communicate with integrity.
