Feeling stuck? Here’s what mushrooms can teach you
Sometimes the hard ground is where breakthroughs begin. "Green jobs" can also mean what you can learn from nature...

Hey 👋
Welcome to Green Jobs Rising! It’s the end of another week, how are you feeling? A little worn out? Holding on by a thread? Either way, I’ve got a story to shift your perspective as you head into the weekend.
Nature can be your guide. Wishing you a restful and inspiring weekend ahead! 💚☀️

Growth looks like this… Consider a different kind of “green job”

How many stories have you heard about the mushroom? They are more than just a delicacy or a cautionary tale. They’re mysterious organisms, neither plant nor animal, with an incredible story of growth that often goes unnoticed.
Did you know that they don’t need sunlight to begin? They grow in silence, in the shadows, often from decay, on forest floors, under fallen trees, and in compost. Conditions that seem messy, lifeless, or uninviting.
But that’s the magic. They take what others might discard, waste, rot, pressure, and use it as fuel. They don’t wait for perfect conditions. They adapt. They rise. They feed ecosystems. Some even heal bodies. As delicate as it is, it breaks through the hard ground.
Your journey might feel buried right now. Like nothing is moving. But what if you’re just germinating? Rooting in resilience. Preparing to break through. Take nature as your model.
You’re not behind, you’re becoming. Growth doesn’t always look bright or Instagram-worthy. Sometimes, it just looks like surviving another day. That’s still growth.
This week, ask yourself:
🌑 What "dark" space in your life might actually be preparing you for something more?
🌿 Where can you stop resisting discomfort and start trusting the process?
🍄 Mushrooms don’t push back against the dark. They adapt to it. How can you be more adaptable?
So the next time you feel buried, ask: Am I buried, or am I planted? Growth doesn’t always need light. Sometimes, it just needs time.
Keep going 🌙
