Africa’s transition to a green economy holds massive potential, from creating jobs and improving access to basic services to reducing poverty and driving inclusive economic growth. But unlocking this potential requires more than ambition. It needs serious investment.

According to the African Development Bank, the continent needs around $250 billion each year, totaling about $2.8 trillion between 2020 and 2030 to support climate adaptation and shift to clean energy. That's no small sum.
