🗣️ What HR professionals are saying…

Let’s talk about LinkedIn. Do you have a LinkedIn account? If yes, are you making the most of it in your job search? If not, you're missing a golden opportunity. Your target company, recruiters, and even future colleagues are on LinkedIn, and being inactive means you could be missing out on the people who could shape your career move.

When we say active, we don’t mean you spending hours scrolling. Just 5 minutes a day can boost your visibility and make you a magnet for opportunities.

Here's what you can do:

  • Optimise your profile – Make sure you’ve added all 50 relevant skills tailored to the role you want. LinkedIn’s algorithm loves this.

  • Comment on posts – Share thoughtful takes on industry news or posts from people in your field. It’s a quick way to build presence.

  • Engage with recruiters – Drop a friendly comment or like on their posts. Better yet, send a brief message to introduce yourself.

  • Post something relevant – Share an article, a quick reflection on your job hunt, or a highlight from your recent work. Keep it authentic.

  • Give and request endorsements – Show love to your network by endorsing their skills, and ask for a few endorsements in return.

  • Follow target companies – Engage with their content. When you apply, LinkedIn will highlight you as a “top applicant.” Small step, big impact.

So, before your next scroll break, pick one of these and go for it. You never know who’s watching, and that’s exactly the point.
