If your feed needs more purpose and less plastic, Taylen’s your follow

Hey,

Welcome to Green Jobs Rising!

When we talk about the future of green work, it’s easy to picture a suit and a briefcase, but the green transition starts with waste collection and recycling.

Cities across the Global South are still grappling with overlapping crises of waste and pollution.

But young leaders are finding innovative ways to address these challenges across the continent.

Today, we are in South Africa.

Taylen Reddy is a South African environmental justice advocate and the founder of Zero Waste Durban, a youth-led movement tackling plastic pollution, waste colonialism, and urban environmental inequality.

With a background in biotechnology and over four years of grassroots organising experience, Taylen currently serves as the Mitigation Project Coordinator at the Green Africa Youth Organisation (GAYO) and convenes regional work for Climate Youth Resilience (CYR).

He’s leading local waste infrastructure pilots and running creative artivism campaigns across the Global South.

Through this work, he’s building a generation of change makers who see environmental justice as both systemic and deeply personal.

This is your cue to grow your network, follow Tylen Reddy on LinkedIn today.

While at it, check out how recycling is already creating more than 1000 jobs in the LinkedIn post below.

The right network builds the right feed, helping you gain insights and knowledge about the sector you’re eyeing.

Today, you added to your network. Until next time,

cheers!
