Hey,

Welcome to Green Jobs Rising!

In today’s edition, we’re unpacking a new opportunity from Sistema.bio: They’re hiring a Technical Coordinator based in Morocco to lead the expansion of their technical operations in the country.

If you’re new to them, Sistema.bio is a social enterprise tackling greenhouse-gas emissions by providing renewable energy solutions to farmers.

They design, manufacture, and distribute biodigesters that turn waste into clean energy and organic fertiliser, helping farmers boost productivity while protecting the planet.

So, what exactly are they looking for, and how can you stand out? Let’s unpack it.

  • Align with the mission - According to our recruiter source, the first thing you’ll want to do is show alignment with their mission.
Sistema.bio works directly with farmers, so if you’ve ever worked with or supported smallholder farmers, that’s your edge.

Recruiter tip: “Passion for working with farmers is important. If your application doesn’t show that, you won’t be their preferred candidate.”

So, don’t just mention your experience; talk about why you enjoy working with farmers and what impact that experience has had.

  • Demonstrate relevant technical experience - Our recruiter says they’ll be looking for candidates with solid experience in the technical field, just as the ad specifies. This isn’t an entry-level role. You’ll need hands-on skills to manage technical operations, conduct field audits, and ensure a smooth customer experience.

If you can’t handle the technical and on-ground aspects of the job, you’ll likely struggle.

  • Communication and language matter - The role is based in Morocco and involves about 50% domestic travel to meet partners and smallholder farmers. That means communication is key.

They specifically require Arabic and French native speakers who are also fluent in English. That’s because you’ll be the bridge between local partners and the global Sistema.bio team.

  • Know what you’ll be doing - Your main responsibilities are grouped into four areas: partner capacity building, partner quality audits, customer satisfaction, data management. Data management, especially carbon data, is becoming a crucial skill in today’s green sector. If you don’t already have strong data management experience, don’t panic. Our recruiter says, “Go ahead and apply, you can learn along the way.”

  • Be the go-to resource for partners - You’ll be expected to act as a key technical resource for Sistema.bio’s partners. These might be organisations involved in farm inputs, or agricultural support. Your job will be to make sure they’re trained, equipped, and supported to deliver effectively.

  • Proficiency with tools like G Suite and CRM systems is also required, because much of the customer service and data tracking happens there.

This is a hands-on, field-oriented role for someone who thrives in technical environments and enjoys working with farmers. If that sounds like you, and you’re fluent in Arabic, French, and English, it’s definitely worth applying.
