When did you last update your CV?

Do not wait until you need it to realise it is out of date

Hey,

Welcome to Green Jobs Rising!

Quick question: How often do you update your CV?

Many people do not update their CVs regularly, and I have seen this even with senior managers.

You shortlist candidates, request their CVs, and then realise the document does not reflect where they are now.

They may have applied while at Company A or B, but by the time they come for an interview, they show up with the same document, still listing an employer they have already left.

My advice is simple: always keep it updated

Keep updating it even when you are employed.

If you achieve something or take on new responsibilities, add it.

You never know who might need to see it.

I have been in situations where investors asked for the CVs of all managers, and some people had not even included their current role.

That slows down decision-making for the whole company.

Think of your CV like a journal of your professional life.

Check in on it and update it.

Opportunities can come unexpectedly, and you do not want to miss out because your CV was not prepared.

If you need support, there are professionals who write CVs and can help with structure and templates.

The key is to keep it fresh and honest.
